BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- The former King of Cambodia Norodom Sihanouk (pictured) Monday donated 50,000 U.S. dollars to a humanitarian organization in China for disaster relief.
The donation was made through China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sihanouk, 87, has a long-standing friendship with the Chinese people. He has offered donations on many occasions to disaster relief in China over the years, the most recent one took place in February, when he donated 50,000 U.S. dollars for relief in drought-stricken areas in the country.
