Cambodian commanders have met Thai Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya at Sombok Khmum near Preah Vihear temple during his visit to the areas on Sunday 13th September.
Mr. Kasit arrived at the areas at 10:30 am, met Gen. Chea Dara, Commander-in-Chief of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, toured Sombok Khmum areas and toured the market location burnt down by Thai rockets during the fighting on 3rd April, 2009 and left at 11:30 am. He did not visit Wat Sekha Kirisvarak pagoda.
In relations to border issues, Gen. Chea Dara said Cambodian troops had been instructed to defend every inch of Cambodian territories. Likewise, Cambodia does not need even one inch of Thai territories, he said.
Gen. Chea Dara said he and Gen. Srey Doek as well as other Cambodian generals have been instructed by Prime Minister Hun Sen to give a warm welcome to Mr. Kasit and his delegation.
