Phnom Penh Governor ordered investigations into pamphlets denouncing PM Hun Sen

Reported in English by Khmerization

Hundreds of pamphlets written by anonymous people strongly attacking and denouncing Prime Minister Hun Sen had been seen scattered outside the compound of Wat Samakki Raingsey pagoda in Trea village of Stung Meanchey district, Phnom Penh.

Venerable Yoeung Sen, the abbot of Wat Samakki Raingsey pagoda, told Deum Ampil by phone that when he woke up in the morning to do some chores and to buy his breakfast, he saw those letters scattering outside the temple compound and he had handed all the pamphlets to his deputy.

After he handed the pamphlets to his deputy, he had written a letter of explanation about the incident and the authority came to interview him, but he said he had nothing to do with the pamphlets or didn't see who left the pamphlets there.

Mr. Kep Chutema (pictured), Governor of Phnom Penh, had written letters to all governors of all 8 districts, to military police commissioner, to police commissioner of Phnom Penh and to Department of Religious Affairs to launch an investigation to the origin of the pamphlets.

The pamphlets had strongly denounced Prime Minister Hun Sen and attacked the policies of his government. However, the details of the pamphlets had not been publicly revealed.

Mr. Kep Chutema said, if found, whoever were the culprits, will be dealt with serverely in accordance with the laws.

This pagoda is controlled by Khmer Krom monks and Ven. Yoeung Sen is a Khmer Krom. Maybe the pamphlets were left there by government agents in order to put the blame on the Khmer Krom monks so they can be persecuted, prosecuted and sent back to Vietnam?

or maybe not? It seems you're the kind that have wild imagination that everyone is against you and want to take you out? Do you feel paranoid like that? Insecured? Do you have any friends? I think a person like you has a trust problem and this if not right the way would ruin any relationship you'd have with anyone.

That's Hun Sen. He is so paranoid that he thinks everyone is plotting against him. The time will come when he no longer trust anyone, not even his children and his wife/wives.

These pamphlets, even if they are real, are harmless. They are just expressions of opposition by people who are unhappy with Mr. Hun Sen's leadership. In the West, no one cares about such paphlets, only paranoid dictators like Hun Sen cares.
