PHNOM PENH - More than 400 Cambodian bankers, microfinanciers, regulators and related financial officials gathered in Phnom Penh on Wednesday to discuss how microfinance could boost the country's economy.
The two-day conference, supported by the World Bank's International Finance Corp. and the European Union, is designed to help Cambodian microfinance institutions strengthen their contribution to the country's socioeconomic development and expand financial services to the rural population.
