HA NOI — More cultural and arts activities between Viet Nam and Cambodia were guaranteed in a meeting between Viet Nam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan and Cambodian Minister of Culture and Arts Him Chhem.
At a meeting in the capital yesterday, the deputy PM expressed his delight at the results of the negotiations between the two countries on culture and arts, and said he hoped the two ministries, Viet Nam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Cambodia’s Ministry of Culture and Arts, would co-operate well to implement the commitments.
He also suggested more co-operation between the two sides to successfully organise the "Viet Nam-Cambodia Culture Week", which the two countries will take turn to host every two years.
Deputy PM Nhan also expressed his hope that the two sides would continue tourism co-operation.
Minister Him Chhem, on behalf of the Cambodian Government, thanked the Vietnamese Government and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for support given in the field of culture and arts to Cambodia. — VNS
