Sources from Daun village in Ouddor Meanchey province told Reaksmei Kampuchea newspaper that on 17th June about 20 Thai soldiers from Battalion 2606 have crossed the border to threaten to evict the family of Mr. Pring Khuon, 68 and Ms. Keo Korng, 67, from their house which is located at the eastern end of Daun Village, Kork Morn commune, Banteay Ampil district in Ouddor Meanchey province, reports everyday.com.
According to Reaksmei Kampuchea, the 20 Thai soldiers demanded the couple to stop toiling their 5-hectare ricefield, dismantle a fence and also dismantle a cow shed nearby. The Thai soldiers claimed that Mr. Pring Khuon built his house on Thai soil which is part of Thailand's Boss Ampov village, Bak Dai commune of Phnom Dongrak district in Surin province.
Villagers said that the Thai soldiers came three times already to demand that the family move their house away from the location. The first time on 14th, the second time on 16th and the third time on 17th of June.
A Cambodian border police from border unit 702 told Reaksmei Kampuchea that Thai soldiers had demanded the Cambodian police to ask the Cambodian villagers to move from the location, but the Cambodian authority refused by telling the Thai that the location is situated inside Cambodian territory based on the (1904 treaty?) maps and that the Cambodian villagers had lived there for a long time already.
During the Thai incursion, 30 Cambodian troops had been sent to confront the Thai troops and after the Cambodian refused their demand they left but they still maintained their wish to evict the Cambodian families from the area.
Angry of the Cambodian authority's refusal to evict the Khmer families from Daun village, the Thai soldiers had closed the border crossing at Daun village and banned Thai traders from selling food, medicines and other products to the Cambodian villagers and also banning Cambodian traders from selling products to the Thai people. The Daun villagers has to travel 10 kilometres to Ku village in Kork Morn commune to buy their food supplies.
After the latest Thai incursion on 17th, Mr. Pring Khuon and his family are very terrified of what the Thai soldiers might do to them, so they have asked the Cambodian authority to provide them with assurance, moral supports and some physical protection.

Malaysia from the south, loas from the north, and burma from the west and so on. etc,etc....
