A policeman shot dead a military policeman and seriously wounding a waiter in the restaurant during the wedding party

A shooting between a policeman and a military policeman in the middle of a wedding party in a restaurant on 17th June has left one dead and one seriously wounded, reports Khmer Sthapana.

According to the newspaper, two uniformed men were seen arguing in Pka Chhuok Tip One (Magic Lotus Leaf) Restaurant at 8:15 pm when the sound of three gunfires were heard.

According to witnesses, the shooting happened as a result of verbal arguments between the pairs. There are reports that the two had a long personal feud before the shooting.

During the shooting, a military policeman, Sin Leap, had been hit three times in the stomach and a waiter, Sourn Samnang, was hit in the knee. Both were taken to Calmette Hospital but Sin Leap has been reportedly died of his injuries.

The shooter, a policeman who is also a bodyguard of the child of a rich mother exchanger, was identified as Soun Chamrong. He fled the scene after the shooting and ahsn't been arrested yet.

According to their friends, both men were friends when they worked as boyguards in the same unit, but the victim, Sin Leap, left the unit when both had a personal feud.
