Co-Prosecutor Robert Petit was forced to resign

Disclaimer: Khmerization has no concrete evidence to substantiate the claims below. The views expressed or claims made below are the sole responsibility of the author (s).

CONFIDENTIAL
TO Mme Silvia CARTWRIGHT (New Zealand)
ECCC Trial Chamber Judge
June 26, 2009

SUBJECT: Co-Prosecutor Robert Petit was forced to resign by Prime Minister HUN SEN. His family members were held against their will by HUN SEN's police in Siemreap City.

This is what was happened.

One month before the announcement of Co-Prosecutor Robert Petit's resignation, Robert Petit’s family members were visiting Siemreap City, Cambodia, as tourists.

When Robert Petit’s family members were arriving at Siemreap Airport, they were held against their will in Siemreap city. This means, whenever and wherever they go, they were escorted always by the driver and police agents of HUN SEN government. They were not authorized to go alone, by themselves. They were locked in the five star SOKHA HOTEL. But they were not authorized to leave. Shopping, Hotel, and foods were free. Robert Petit’s family members had nothing to pay. Everything was paid by HUN SEN police.

Robert Petit had met his family members in Siemreap city to see that his family members were not physically harmed.

It must be reminded that Robert Petit had asked the ECCC to put six more people on trial such as NORODOM SIHANOUK, HENG SAMRIN, CHEA SIM, HUN SEN, HO NAM HONG and KEAT CHHON.

HUN SEN representatives ordered Mr. Robert Petit to stop asking the ECCC to put more people to trial. If he doesn’t stop, he must resign, ordered HUN SEN people or else (Police HUN SEN threatened on the lives of Robert Petit’s family members).

We have witnesses to support the above facts.

kill this foriegners and his families. maybe then they know what khmer rouge are. this is now, our leaders have moved on and they have brought stablilties and now this judge want to cause more chaos over this stupid trail. why don't he show his stupid face during the time when our leaders are in the khmer rouge soldiers then? why do he want conflict now when things are at peace? KILL THIS MOTHER FUCKER AND HIS FAMILIES JUST TO LET THEM NOW WHAT KR ARE!

Calm down MR. there must be better ways to solve this. You must be one of those Khmer Rouge's former cadres too to use some kind of this comments. "What if" someone want to kill you and your family in this situation?
Mr. Robert Petit is just trying to do his best jobs. Please reconsider this. I appreciate for your understanding.

I wonder if members of 11:51pm's family have been killed during the KR regime. He must know that Hun Sen, Chea Sim, Heng Samrin and other CPP leaders were part of the KR regime that killed his family members and more than 1.7 million Khmers.

Robert Petit was trying to do his job to bring justice to the victims of the Khmer Rouge. Whoever committed crimes, whether they are Hun Sen or someone else, must be punished under laws. Hun Sen had committed crimes against humanity, so he must be punished.

Hi 27 June 2009 7:39 PM commenter,
1.7 million deaths were too much to forgive. This was an enormous crimes against humanity and it must be brought to justice. Of course we all want to move on but we have to take care this matters as well. If we don't, it is an invitation to more crimes agaainst humanity in the future. Cambodia is still under the influence of KR's regime. This is a must not have if we all wanted to have a Real Democracy, a much better living for our next generation.

yes kr say the same things. did it work without people support of them? FUCK NO!!! what different are the numbers of crimes? a crime is a crime, right? maybe i should kill your kid maybe then you start to see that one crime is no different from 1.7 million, right? the issues here are that things are going in a positive directions with some obstacles but these does not mean to make it a little bit worse by taking a leader to trial when he is just a soldier that never kill anybody. THIS GUY IS ONLY POINTING FINGER AT OUR PRESENT LEADER,DOES YOU FEEL THAT HE IS TRYING TO STIR CHAOS. WHAT HAPPEN IF NO GUARDS AND IT HAPPEN THAT HIS KIDS WERE KILLED BY HIS ENEMY. WHO'S HE GOING TO BLAME , OUR LEADER OF COURSE. HE SHOULD BE THANKFULL THAT HE TREATED THEM FIRST CLASS INSTEAD. FUCK THIS FORIEGN GUY!!!!! GO HOME AND TAKE CARE YOUR LOVING KIDS AND WIFE.NEXT TIME,IF YOU WANT TO HELP SROK KHMER,SHOW YOUR FACE AND LEAVE YOUR KIDS AT HOME, IF THING HAPPEN LIKE KR DAYS.MAYBE THEN YOU KNOW WHAT STABILITY IS. THEN I WILL BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE SINCERELY HELPING SROK KHMER.

7:39pm, people who committed crimes must be punished, especially crimes against humanity committed by KR leaders, including your boss, Mr. Hun Sen. Every country has laws, if someone had done something against the laws they must face justice.

With the way you talked, I don't believe that any member of your family were killed by the KR regime or may be you were one of the KR leaders.

Crimes against humanity where 1.7 million people were killed cannot be forgiven. If criminals are not punished for their crimes, they will continue to commit crimes with impunity. Hun Sen have not been brought to justice for his crimes during the KR regime and during the 1997 coup he had again committed war crimes against Funcinpec generals, when more than 100 of them were tortured and brutally killed in Kombol, where the KR court is situated now.

You are calling for bygones to be bygones because at the moment you profited and benefited hugely from the corrupt rule of Mr. Hun Sen. I can say in another way that you don't think about the benefit of the KR or Mr. Hun Sen's victim, but you are thinking about your own personal interests more than anything else. So, you are a real Cambodian traitor.

shut the fuck up. i aint no traitor.what do you want? do you willing to bitch until we go to war. or you just try to work together and solve it together? anybody able to lead the country but do people like you willing stop creating conflicts? " ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country"PLEASE, PLEASE.....now i am begging you, idiots, what a shame, huh. i am willing to kiss all khmers feets, if khmers are willing to work together.
