CACJE plans to sue Chevron for petroleum explorations in Cambodia

Dear All Associates,

CACJE would like to inform you all that after CACJE wrote the letter concerned to US senator, US Congress and US State Department regarding the corruption of natural resource of Cambodia that have been reported by Global Witness, CACJE received a letter of explanation from a US senator, Mr. White House, but we don't see any feedback from Shell & Chevron company.
Now CACJE is considering a lawsuit against these US Companies, based on US law and International laws of investment, our law representative today has written a letter to inform and to ask for information from Global Witness, and later he will write the official letter to inform Shell & Chevron.
This information is to inform all associates who are prepared to join with CACJE as a group of law suit. All Khmer associations and organizations abroad that represent Khmer benefits are welcome.
Regards,

Dear Global Witness -

I represent a number of Cambodian asylum-seekers and recent immigrants in the U.S. Many of them are acutely aware of the corrupt status of the government of Cambodia. They have expressed to me an interest in joining a legal action against Chevron to stall any partnership with the current government. Are you aware of any actions being brought against Chevron in this regard?

Thanks

Lindsay Doering
