There are reports that the fugitive ex-Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra (pictured) is in the process of negotiating to purchase an island worth 21 million euros, reports Deum Ampil newspaper.
According to Deum Ampil which quoted Visit-Montenegro newspaper, Thaksin is bidding to purchase Sveti Nikola Island, an island located about one kilometre from Budva city off the coast of Montenegro. The island has three beaches and is stretching 840 metres in length.
Visit-Montenegro newspaper reports that wealthy people from the UK, Russia and the United Arab Emirates are among the bidders who are competing with Mr. Thaksin to purchase this island, says Deum Ampil.
