Khieu Thakvika (pictured), brother of Mr. Khieu Kanharith and ambassador to Russia, had been given extra ambassadorial duties as ambassador to Bulgaria and Romania on top of his current post as ambassador to Russia in a royal decree signed by King Sihamoni on 10th April, reports Khmer Sthapana.
In another similar appointment, Mr. Chem Widhya, ambassador to Germany and son of Mr. Chem Snguon, ex-Minister of Justice, had been given extra ambassadorial duties as ambassador to Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary in a royal decree signed by King Sihamoni on 22nd April.
According to Khmer Sthapana, the royal decree had also instructed Prime Minister Hun Sen to implement the king’s appointments. The appointments are effective from the dates of the signatures.

These two ambassadors got the job because of their brother and father. Without Kanharith, Thakvika won't get this job and without his late father, Chem Widhya won't get the job. It's all cronyism.They treat Cambodia as their personal fiefdom.
