Latest news: 18 Thais killed and 50 wounded

The smokes coming from the burning of the Phsar Krom market which was located at the staircases of the temple which was hit by Thai rockets.

A Cambodian newspaper claimed that between 18-20 Thai troops had been killed and 50 wounded during the border clashes on Friday the 3rd of April.

Deum Ampil newspaper reported that those wounded Thai soldiers are being treated at a hospital in Ubon province. The newspaper also quoted Prime Minister's Hun Sen speech made on Saturday at Chhouk district in Kampot province of which he said that there is no casualties on the Cambodian side, "not even scratches".

The newspaper also quoted Cambodian military sources from Veal Entry that on Saturday Thailand had sent 6 tanks and 4 light armoured personnel carriers plus 1000 special commando forces to the frontlines at Veal Entry, Phnom Trop, Sombok Khmum and Ta Sem Pass.Justify Full
The newspaper also quoted the Cambodian military sources who said that Cambodian forces are ready and would welcome them any time. The paper also quoted Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Cambodian Council of Ministers, who said that Cambodia is not concerned about the Thai reinforcements.

There is no independent sources that can confirm the Deum Ampil's reports.
