Khmer-Thai meeting after clashes on 3rd April, 2009

Cambodian and Thailand agreed to show their utmost restraints in order to prevent future armed clashes. In a meeting in at Wat Keo Sekha Kirisvara pagoda on 5th April, both sides agreed that when there are tensions and confrontations at the frontlines, military leaders from both sides would step in to prevent the clashes, reports Koh Santepheap newspaper.

On 3rd April, armed clashes erupted at Veal Entry, Phnom Trop, Sombok Khum, Ta Thav Pass and Preah Vihear which resulted at least 2 Thai soldiers killed and 10 wounded and 16 captured. The Cambodian claimed no casualties.
