Governor Kep Chutema has returned from an official visit to Paris on 19th of December and told Koh Santepheap newspaper that he has instructed the Phnom Penh City Administration not to sue actress Vang Sreyno (pictured) for damaging the statue of the Buddhist Patriarch, Samdech Chuon Nath. Recently, actress Vang Sreyno has crashed her car into the statue of Samdech Chuon Nath which caused damages to the tune of $6,000.
On the 15th of December, actress Vang Sreyno has written a letter of apology to the governor for the damage caused by her. Upon arriving back from Paris, the governor hinted that he will instruct the Phnom Penh City Administration not to proceed with the lawsuit against her. He did not eleborate of what extent the Administration can forgive her, but hinted that her apology will be accepted.
