On Monday morning, Cambodian and Unesco officials have erected a world heritage plaque in the Angkor areas in Siem Reap to officiate that those Khmer temples are priceless world heritage that belong to Cambodia and all humanity.
Prime Minister Hun Sen presided over the inauguration ceremony. In a speech, he said: “Nothing can be compared to all the temples in our historic sites. Unesco has not only inscribed these wonderful values of Khmer civilisation inside the hearts of all Khmer people, but these wonderful values of Khmer civilisation have and are in the process of being inscribed in the hearts of ancient archaeology-lovers and history-lovers in the world.”
Please note that Cambodia and Unesco planned to erect this sort of plaque in the Preah Vihear areas a long the Khmer-Thai borders in the near future.//
