PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Cambodian police are hunting a leader of Khmer National Liberation Front and his group in connection with formation of illegal military to topple the Cambodian government, a senior policeman said.

The Cambodian police have cooperated with Thai police to arrest four members of Khmer National Liberation Front who are currently living in Thailand, said Kiet Chantharith, national police spokesman, Sunday.

The Authorities are continuing an investigation to arrest those who are involved with Khmer National Liberation Front as this group aimed at overthrowing the government by forming illegal military in Thailand, sending agents to spy on the Cambodian main military bases, and delivering anti-government leaflets, training terrorism forces, and planting bombs at the Thai border.

Chantharith added that they formed the network in Cambodia in order to collect information and send to their leader in Denmark.

The Denmark-based Khmer National Liberation Front was announced on December 12, 2012 by leader Sam Serei, known as Sor Serei or Yean Yeap, a member of Tiger Liberation Movement who fled the country after court issued an arrest warrant for him for setting bombs in front of the Office of Council of Ministers and former TV3 station in 2009.

Last week, 10 of its members were arrested by the Cambodian police and were sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on charge of attempting to overthrow the Cambodian government.

In 2013, the Cambodian police in collaboration with the Thai police arrested four members of Khmer National Liberation Front. They included deputy president, executive director, and activists.
