PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Prime Minister Hun Sen on Friday asked Philippines to expand tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Hun Sen made the comments during a meeting with Neo A Wong, outgoing Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia, at the Peace Palace.
Ieng Sophalet, Hun Sen's personal assistant, said that during the meeting Hun Sen THANKED

He also thanked Philippines for its effort to boost direct FLIGHT to Cambodia, and the Philippine government that helped train Cambodian HUMAN RESOURCES, as well as exchange of experiences.

Regarding to direct flight, Neo A Wong told Hun Sen that there are four direct flights per week from Cambodia to Philippines and from Philippines to Cambodia, and the number of flight will increase.

This is important news for the Khmer:
1. India has clearly sided with Japan and confronted China. So, India will join Japan-US pact to contain/corner China. Currently Vietnam is the key gate way for India's looking-East strategy.
2. USA and Japan is favoring Vietnam. Just watch for the TPP trade pact. It's designed to give Vietnam's garment industry a huge boost, while curtail China's garment import. The estimation is Vietnam will double export to USA and Japan next year. There are huge new garment factories being built up in Vietnam.
This means Vietnam will have an extra 10 billion US dollars in revenue, enough to buy huge amount of new arms from USA. Vietnam is the key corner-stone in USA's Pacific pivotal strategy, more so than Philippines.
3. Britain has just signed an oil deal with Philippines to explore oil in the contesting water with China. China will be so pissed. Believe me, the world is ganging up against China.
Mr. Hun Sen has wisely sided with Vietnam over China. Any fool would want to side with China. Remember this, I have chosen to be an American citizen. Any Khmer living in USA who speaks in favor with China should leave USA. I would want to deport these Khmer as traitors.
