PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Hundreds of Cambodian workers warned on Monday to hold bigger and longer protest at Poipet-Kloeng Loek crossing border if Thai military doesn't release 16 Cambodian cart workers today.
According to the workers, Thai authority issued a new rule to restrict Cambodian cart workers not to allow them to enter and leave the border as many times as they want.
Thai authority ruled that the Cambodian cart workers who enter Thai border in the morning will not be allowed to return back until 3:00 pm.
They said the rule makes their livelihoods become worse.
Cambodia sent a DEFENSE LAWYER Monday to seek bail for 16 Cambodian workers who were arrested by Thai military over the weekend after they were caught smuggling shoes and clothes.
