Cambodian 'lover' sent [Australian] woman tainted goods

The Toowoomba Chronicle
8th August 2014

AN ONLINE connection with a man from Cambodia has left a Tara woman in possession of stolen items.
Dalby CIB was called to Shirley Ann Dickinson's property on January 12.
Dickinson, 61, immediately told police she was in possession of property she thought could be stolen and wanted officers to take it away.
Dickinson told police she had connected with a man from Cambodia on an online dating website, who arranged to have items he bought online delivered to her Tara address.
She was then to forward the goods onto Cambodia.
Police made inquiries with online businesses and discovered the goods had been purchased using stolen credit cards.
She pleaded guilty to possessing tainted property when she appeared at Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Duty lawyer Dianne Farrawell said Dickinson became aware the items were stolen after she received a call from Interpol.
Mrs Farrawell said her client boxed the items to take them to Tara police.
Magistrate Kay Ryan said Dickinson needed to rethink who she became acquainted with.
Mrs Ryan recorded a conviction and fined her $350.

61 years old and still dating... gotta love the western culture... khmer woman at that age would be seeking solace and comfort in religion.
