PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Cambodian people have to pay 10,000 riel (US$2.5) to make an identification card from July 1st, 2014, according to a statement issued recently by Ministry of Interior.
The fee of 10,000 riel is set to help reduce burden of state as well as support and ensure the process of identification card making, Interior Minister Sar Kheng said in the statement obtained by The Cambodia Herald on Tuesday.
The ministry at the same time also appealed to the Cambodian people aged 15 up, and those who hold invalid identification cards to make the ID cards, and pay the service as set.
