Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida is to make a three-day visit to Cambodia from Sunday, Cambodia's Foreign Ministry said Monday.
While in Cambodia, he will pay courtesy calls and meet with King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Hun Sen and his Cambodian counterpart Hor Namhong, the ministry said in a statement.
Also during his stay, Kishida will sign two agreements on grant aid to Cambodia of 851 million yen ($8.35 million) for expansion of lower secondary schools in Phnom Penh and soft loans amounting 13.8 billion yen for Phnom Penh infrastructure expansion projects and improvement of National Road No. 5, according to the ministry.
Hun Sen and Kishida will also preside over the official inauguration of Aeon Mall, the first Japanese shopping mall to open in Cambodia, on June 30, it said.
