PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Vietnamese Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh says Vietnam is willing to co-operate with Cambodia in terrorism prevention through exchanges and joint drills, Nhan Dan reported Wednesday.
The official organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam said the offer was made at a reception in Hanoi Tuesday for Prime Minister Hun Sen's son Hun Manet, commander of Cambodia’s National Counter-Terrorism Special Forces.
General Thanh "underlined the time-tested relations between the two countries, while speaking highly of their increasingly effective defence co-operation.
"He noted that both sides had made regular exchanges of high-ranking delegations and worked closely to build a peaceful and friendly border.
