The Cambodian New Year parade strutted down Long Beach's Anaheim Street on Sunday, bringing a slice of the country's rich culture to Cambodia Town for the first time in since 2011.
Nearly 50 participating organizations drove decorated cars, rode on handmade floats and danced in traditional Khmer dress for the 2014 parade, which was made possible within the last month thanks to fundraising efforts by the Cambodian Coordinating Council.
The parade kicked off a month-long celebration of the Year of the Horse, which begins next week during the three-day new year, which runs April 13-15. A New Year's festival will be held at El Dorado Park on April 19.
