PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Working groups from Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) will meet on Friday to explore how to solve the current political crisis.
“The technical working groups from CPP and CNRP will meet on the morning of 03 January at the National Assembly to solve the remaining issues before a summit can be held,” said Prum Sokha, a CPP senior official.
He added the CPP working group will raise what has been achieved during a summit, which was held on 16-17 September 2013.
It remains unclear how both parties can break the political deadlock as CNRP now has high agenda, demanding a new election. However, CPP insists that is impossible to conduct a new election.
