Cambodian civil servants to get salaries through bank accounts from next year [This method can stop bosses and supervisors from stealing their subordinates' salary!]

Cambodian civil servants to get salaries through bank accounts from next year
PHNOM PENH, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- All Cambodian civil servants and armed forces will get their salaries through bank accounts from next year onwards, officials said Wednesday.
The Ministry of Finance signed on Wednesday an agreement with three service providers, Acleda Bank, Canadia Bank, and Wing Cambodia, for a five-year term, which would provide the credit of the pay for all civil servants and armed forces to their personal bank accounts. "The bank payroll service will be implemented in a phased manner for all civil servants and the armed forces at all levels from 2014 onwards," Chou Kimleng, secretary of state at the Ministry of Finance, said after the signing ceremony. "This reform process of the government will meet all international standards relating to due diligence, accounting and efficiency."
In Channy, President and Group CEO of Acleda Bank, said the bank is pleased to serve the government civil servants directly in a large scale.
"This is a great opportunity for us to serve the new segment that we have long term dream to serve," he said.
