School of Vice's note on a social media user's video comment

A very astute observer; true to every word. Well done,
indeed. Continue to post your comments and share them with all compatriots.
Your ideas are more powerful than the tyrant's armed
battalions and tanks once they will have seeped into the people's
consciousness. I am always of the view that no regime or government can last
without the support of its youth and ‘intelligentsia’ [educated elements], and
the youth of Cambodia and most of her educated generations have already made
their feelings quite unequivocal about this authoritarian rule by a former KR
soldier who has learned nothing progressive in relations to his country's
fundamental needs; nothing at all except his indoctrination in violence and in how
to cling on to illegitimate power by all means.
By the way, Cambodia has already been living with the return
or reality of the Pol Pot-KR regime, albeit in a cosmetically remodelled guise,
marked by the same unthinking, barbaric use of brutality and physical violence
[state terrorism] to quell its perceived opponents and dissidents on a more
selective scale, instead of mass executions as witnessed during the 1970s. But,
even these differences in atrocities as to scale or intensity cannot hide or
conceal the national tragedy and predicament the Khmer people are facing, and
these realities - from lack of true national self-determination, environmental
and economic mismanagement to cultural degradation in general, put the nation
in the same situation and critical danger as had been the case in the 1970s.
The reason why this current regime has lasted this long
despite its core destructive practices over the last 30 years is because its
predecessor [i.e. KR Part I] had effectively cleared the path for it [KR Part
II] to succeed and entrench its rule more or less unopposed by purging all perceived
nationalistic or patriotic elements, particularly, former military personnel
and educated classes who would possess the practical capability and the
intellectual means to mobilise a patriotic front and spearhead it against
foreign-sponsored regime like this present CPP instalment. This is precisely
why the Vietnamese had chosen not to intervene over the killing spree that was
taking place in Cambodia between April 1975 and December 1979, despite the alarming
build-up of Chinese military aid to Pol Pot's regime and intermittent armed
skirmishes along the common border.
Thanks for the video comment, and yes, I would rather look
at your feet than the ugly face of Treason and Tyranny!
