Chea Sim: CPP still wants to negotiate with CNRP [but refuses to investigate irregularities]

Give our kids a better deal
PHNOM PENH, 29 August 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) -- Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) president Chea Sim said Thursday that the CPP still wants to negotiate with the opposition party to solve any political issues resulting from last month's general election.

"The Cambodian People’s Party is always ready to negotiate with the CNRP to solve any remaining issues regarding the results of the election as well as in the spirit of national reconciliation," Chea Sim said in a letter to Sam Rainsy.

Chea Sim's, senate president, letter to Sam Rainsy was in response to a letter that was sent to him by the opposition leader on Wednesday, asking the Cambodian People’s Party to create independent committee to investigate the irregularities of election.
