Genocide denial law to be approved this week

Give our kids a better deal
Chheang Vun, Chairman of the Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Informational and Media in the National Assembly

PHNOM PENH(The Cambodia Herald) -- The Permanent Committee of the National Assembly will hold a session this week to discuss a draft of the genocide denial law.

The law had been discussed once last week in the National Assembly, initiated by 46 members of parliament following a request by Prime Minister Hun Sen who wanted a new law to punish those who said the Khmer Rouge didn’t commit genocidal atrocities of the Cambodia people.

"The Permanent Committee of the National Assembly has sent the draft documents to the Commission of Legislation and Justice to be prepared and passed to the permanent committee," Chheang Vun, Chairman of the Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Informational and Media in the National Assembly, said Monday

"The Permanent Committee will include a draft of the law into the National Assembly session on Friday of this week," Vun added.

The draft consists of five articles and will prosecute anyone denying the Khmer Rouge regime didn't commit genocide. The convicted could be jailed from six months up to two years and fined between one to four million Riels.

ALSO per Hun Sen request , a strict law must be made to
punish any Khmer who speaks against the flow of Vietnameses into Cambodia & the right to vote of the Vietnamese to select Khmer leader . This law must be passed , along with the Genocide Denial Law , because Vietnam saved Khmer from Genocide and Cambodia under
Hun Sen must pay gratitude to Vietnam ...

This law is stupid just like ah Kwak. Everyone knows where ah Kwak is the real Khmer Rouge, by enforcing this law, now ah Kwak Hun Sen can tell everyone he killed many Khmer during the Khmer Rouge regime.

Ah kwak will also create another ban banning the talk on K5 genocide. Under this law, Ah kwak can kill anyone as he did during the K5 genocide in which he was the leader when the Vietnamese occupied Cambodia and made ah kwak the leader.

Not only he stole and threatened UN staff with a rifle but upon becoming Cambodian Ambassador to Australia he sold for personal profit the Cambodian Embassy's Library which contained much rare historical materials about Cambodia. How can this kind of thug bring any popularity to the ruling party is beyond comprehension. Samdech Hun Sen belittles himself by allowing these thugs as members of the CPP.
