Army major court-martialed for Cambodia documents [A U.S army major court-martialed for spying for Cambodia?]

Posted: Friday, June 14, 2013

HONOLULU (AP) — A Hawaii-based Army major is being court-martialed for having unauthorized possession of classified documents and giving a document with classified assessments of Cambodia to a person not entitled to have it.
Maj. Seivirak Inson is being tried in military court at Wheeler Army Air Field on Oahu. Friday is the fourth day of his court martial.
Army prosecutors say Inson had in his possession a U.S. Pacific Command maritime strategy document and other military intelligence documents that he wasn't authorized to have.
Inson is also charged with failing to report to his chain of command contacts he had with Cambodian military and government officials.
Inson was assigned to the U.S. Pacific Command at the time of the alleged crimes. He's currently with the 8th Theater Sustainment Command at Fort Shafter.

Is Cambodia used by China to obtain the US classified document ?

I feel bad for him. He is a veteran serving in Irak.

He should have known better about what he was doing. Perhaps, his judgment was trumped by the desire to become a general in Cambodian Royal Armed Forced.

I'm sad to see his honorable career with the US Army ends that way.

Hun Manit paid Maj. Seivirak to collect all Of the names of Cambodian descent serving in US armed forces. Those names will be kept in Cambodian army intelligence archieve for future references and for the possibility of intradict any potential contact concurrence by them with the opposition. And to enlist those service men/women in Cambodian army intelligence's data crossing tranformation flashpoints of interception.

Not sure what motivated Maj. Seivirak to commit such a thing.

I don't think it was money. As an army major, he got a decent pay, not to mention numerous benefits and a generous pension.

Was it his patriotism for Cambodia? Well, he can serve Cambodia while still remaining loyal to Uncle Sam. He can also retire from US Army and uses his combat experiences to train Cambodian officers, especially during the annual US-Cambodian joint military exercise.

Was he bought on a promise of given a rank of general in Cambodia Armed Forces? if he was, he committed a cardinal sin.

After everything Uncle Sam did for him, rescuing him from the refugee camps, providing him with world best training and excellent career opportunity in the US Army, why would he allow himself to be bought, not to say used, by some people who haven't done a thing for him?
