PHNOM PENH, March 7 — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will lead a
high delegation to attend a series of summits in Vientiane, Laos during
March 12-13, according to a Foreign Ministry’s press release on
Thursday.
The forthcoming summits include the 7th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam ( CLV)
Summit, the 6th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit, and the 5th
Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS)
Summit.
Senior officials accompanying the premier will include Deputy Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, Commerce Minister Cham
Prasidh, and other members of the Cambodian government, the press
release said.
During the summits, the leaders of CLV will sign a joint statement on
strengthening cooperation in the CLV Development Triangle, while the
CLMV and ACMECS leaders will adopt the joint statement of the 6th CLMV
Summit, the Vientiane declaration of the 5th ACMECS Summit, and ACMECS
plan of action 2013-2015, it said.
Besides, Hun Sen will pay a courtesy call on President of Laos Choummaly Sayasone.
