Two dead dolphins found in Kampot

Two corpses of dolphin found in Kampot seaside

KAMPOT, 1 February 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) – A fisherman has discovered two dead dolphins by the sea in Kep Thmey village in Boeung Tok commune, officials said Friday.

Experts said the dolphins floated in from the sea, which has recently experienced strong winds and big waves, and were believed to have been dead for at least a week.

Villagers said the second dolphin was discovered three or four days after the first one was found.

Sor Sorin, the district fishery chief, said the bodies were so decomposed that cause of death could not be determined.
