PHNOM PENH, 25 February 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) -- The Ministry of National Defense
says the situation along the border between Cambodia and Thailand is
stable.
"There has been no action along the Cambodia-Thai border, especially in the region between Preah Vihear Temple and Pailin province," ministry spokesman Chhum Socheat said Friday. "We've been ordered to prepare and we're ready."
Prime Minister Hun Sen has urged the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces along the border side to be on high alert as International Court of Justice (ICJ) prepares to give its verdict over the Preah Vihear Temple in mid-April.
Cambodia has denied Thai reports that the defense ministers of Thailand and Cambodia will hold talks in Thailand on Tuesday.
