Cartoonist Sacrava is originally a Battambang native. So Battambang pride to anyone from there. Actually people from Battambang migrated to different parts of the world after the collapse of the Khmer Rouge's Regime. I also like the fact that Sacrava was born into a privileged class and them went through hell in Cambodia, then migrated to Australia and reinvented himself as a restauranteur. Then he failed at it but he continues to pick himself up and moves on with his life. He has aged a lot now compared to his youthful photo back in the day. His prominent eyebrows serve as a reminder of his once handsomeness back in the day. However, his passion will always be the VOICE for the Cambodian peoples trapped inside Cambodia. Once again, if anyone has ancestors from Battambang area, you need to be proud. Battambang people are great people and Sacrava is a fine example of that.

SO how did you survive from Pol Pot, if you are not Chinese descendant, you would have been a bag of worms by now. Cambodia does not belong to you . Get lost.

A picture is a thousand words.I am impressed and have a great respect for Sacrava for his boundless love and tireless work to free our people from the great valley of darkness and suffering.Political Cartoon is a powerful medium that can go straight into all class of people's psyche/consciousness.
I am sure that your contribution to our motherland will not be forgotten by history and I am hopping that one day, when the time come your political cartoons, that help freeing our people, will be hung in the museum somewhere in our country. It's priceless.

We can't be free, while the others are not free.

Freedom and liberty are the apples of the our eyes, without which the universe means nothing.

Sacrava, without a doubt, you are a top gun and a graceful son of Cambodia.
