PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) - Bayon Television presenter Sok Somavatey says she's abandoning her career after her recent wedding to
the son of a high-ranking official.
"I have to quit the entertainment industry and other activities related to the arts," she told the latest issue of Angkor Thom magazine.
"It's my husband’s demand," said the Top Three Freshie Girl from 2007. "My husband is a government official who always has missions to the provinces so who will go with him if I'm busy with entertainment?"
Sok Somavatey's wedding on November 23 was attended by hundreds of stars and many high-ranking officials. She was expected to receive a wedding gift of $200,000 along with a car and a villa.
