PHNOM PENH, 24 January 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) - The Japan International Cooperation
Agency announced Thursday the appointment of Hiroshi Izaki as the
agency's new representative in Cambodia.
Izaki previously worked as deputy president of financial cooperation at JICA in Tokyo. Before that, he worked in Myanmar and Vietnam.
In a statement, JICA said Japan had provided Cambodia with $2.2 billion in aid since 1992. Japan remains committed to helping the government boost incomes while promoting industrial development, it said.
Izaki took up his position on January 15, succeeding Yasujiro Suzuki.
