MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) - A parliamentary delegation of Belarus
plans to visit Cambodia in February, Chairman of the House of
Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko informed Belarusian President
Alexander Lukashenko during a working meeting on 17 January, BelTA
learnt from the press service of the head of state.
During the visit the Belarusian delegation is set to consider the
establishment of inter-parliamentary relations and a number of specific
projects. These include supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs, development
of assembly plants, and cooperation in education.
The Belarusian parliament is working on intensifying the cooperation
with countries in Southeast Asia. The Chairman of the House of
Representatives of Indonesia is expected to visit Belarus in early
March.
Belarus plans to attend in the capacity of observer a meeting of the
Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) of the Association of Southeast
Asian Nations (ASEAN) in September.
