PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) - Phnom Penh Municipal Judge Che Virak
summoned human rights activist Chan Saveth Tuesday to appear in court on
December 24 after a four-month delay.
The activist, from the Cambodian Human Rights and Development Association (Adhoc), is charged with helping a suspect in a land dispute in Kratie. He faces one to three years in prison if found guilty.
"I'm pleased to appear to show that I am innocent," he said. "I will be happy to cooperate with the court."
The 44-year-old activist returned on November 12 from Sweden where he had been studying.

This show that Hun Sen is worse than Hitler, jailing people for no reason. The Cambodian and international courts should jail Hun Sen for war crimes for killing people after 1997 coup, 1997 grenade attack, for order the killing of actress Pisith Pilika and for human rights abuses and corruption, stealing Cambodian natural resources etc....
