More than 1,600 reporters around the globe have registered with the
Ministry of Information to report about the 21st ASEAN Summit and
related Summits, to be held here from November 15-20, the government
spokesman and Information Minister, Khieu Kanharith (pictured) said Wednesday.
"The figure doesn't include the number of reporters who will accompany their respective leaders to attend the meetings," he said. "For US President Barack Obama, more than 100 (media) officers will accompany him to the Summits."
Cambodia will host the 21st ASEAN Summit and related Summits from November 15 to 20 at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
All heads of states and governments of the member states of ASEAN, the US President Barack Obama, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda had already confirmed their participation in the forthcoming Summit and related meetings, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong told reporters on October 22.

Khieu Kanharith said that Russian President Vladimir Putin will probably attend the upcoming Summits.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said last week that the forthcoming 21st ASEAN Summit would promote the ASEAN integration process and strengthen the bloc's central role in the region's evolving regional economic and social architecture.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

khieu kanharith is pros sampheung yourn. He does not fit to work in Ministry of Information. His language does fit only in yourn bars.
