BANTEAY MEANCHEY, 2 November 2012 (Cambodia Herald) – Migratory birds have started to
reappear in Ou Chrov and Malai districts as well as Poipet as the rice
harvest gets underway.
Nov Nil, the Forestry Administration chief
in Ou Chrov district, said the birds include teals, herons, woodcocks
and wood storks.
He said the birds usually migrate to forests and ponds in Cambodia and Thailand around this time of the year.
To
attract more, Nov Nil urged people to protect the birds whose prey
includes fish, crabs, snails, grasshoppers, crickets and frogs.
