HANOI, Vietnam (AP) — A critically endangered turtle that somehow made it to Vietnam decades ago has been returned to its original home: Cambodia.
HANOI, Vietnam (AP) — A critically endangered turtle that somehow made it to Vietnam decades ago has been returned to its original home: Cambodia.
The mangrove terrapin was handed over to Cambodian authorities in a ceremony in southern Ho Chi Minh City on Friday.
The conservation group Education of Nature Vietnam said the turtle
would be introduced into a conservation breeding program in Cambodia.
The turtle was first spotted by ENV staff in 2010 in a park in Ho Chi Minh City.
The park bought the turtle from local people in the 1980s, but the
conservation group says it is unclear how the terrapin ended up in
Vietnam.

Gentlemen border problems are between government to government NOT us and Vietnamese peoples. The Viets don't need to return it back to us, but they do. This is a goodwill gestures from the Viets and we must accept it, anything will always better than nothing. We must find a way to safeguard our eastern border but at the same time we must live in peace with Vietnamese peoples. They and Khmers still have to live alongside for enternity. If we keep stereotyping each others this hatred will never end. They steal our land with A LOT OF HELPS from traitors Khmers. Anyone will take your land if you practically hand over to them, such King Chay Chetta II, Hun Sen, King Sihanmoni etc. etc. etc. So please gentlemen if we kept our hatred toward the Vietnamese peoples we will never solve our own problems within. Clean up our own house before looking at the neighbor's house.

I respected your opinion and polite language toward khmers viewers in here patient is running out among khmers people that including me.There fore,I wanted to set the record straight speaking for myself only,I didn't hated Yuon people,I hated Yuons'gov't and its politicians.
As for the endanger turtles? Yuons fisherman stole from us,they have to give us back to breed more so they will steal more later.Next we'll take our island back as well,with the help of ICJ.

How is this a problem only between the Youn gov and the Khmer Gov and NOT between the Khmer and the YOUN.

What I am saying that Khmer stop blaming Youn peoples, we have to look at our past and current leaders who put us in this mess. I knew pretty well how Youn manipulated Khmer's political system. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible to live in peace with Yuon, especially Yuon government.
They are just plain theives, cheaters, liars, and land expansionists.
They were so bad that the Chinese kicked them out centuries ago.
After stealing Cham's lands, Yuon are stealing Laos's lands, and Khmer lands.
The only way we Khmers can win against Yuon is for us to UNITE. As of now Hun Sen has sold himself and our country to his Hanoi Master.

Youn are the caused of problems. They killed Khmer. They install Hun Sen to allow millions of Youn to cause problems and allowed to now own all of khmer land in khmer. Youn have more rights then khmer. Khmer Krom doesnt even have rights to listen to khmer media.
Only CPP dogs who gains power and money can live at peace with YOun, but for others, there is nothing but suffering from landless property to starving for food.
