PHNOM PENH, 23 October 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - The government said has re-designated October 23 as a public holiday to commemorate the Paris Peace Agreements of 1991, sources said Tuesday.
October 23 has not been a public holiday for several years.
The late King Father Norodom Sihanouk and Prime Minister Hun Sen reached the peace agreements with the support of France, Indonesia and 16 other countries.
On Monday, the government also announced that October 15 would be commemorated as a national holiday from next year to mark the death of the King Father in Beijing last week.
