Phnom Penh Penh, October 29, 2012 (Bernama) - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun sen said the country's economic growth is forecast at 7.0% and the inflation rate is expected to go down 2.9% this, Xinhua News Agency reported.
PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Prime Minister Hun Sen said Monday that Cambodia's economic growth was expected to be seven percent this year with inflation running at 2.9 percent.
"Our economy this year is not bad. We can maintain economic growth at seven percent. We estimated inflation at around five percent but the real figure is 2.9 percent," he told a graduation ceremony.
"Cambodia has enough rice, the main issue is rice production for export," the prime minister said.
"We can export a lot of textile products abroad despite economic uncertainties in Europe and United States," he added. At the same time, "the agriculture, industry, real estate, construction and tourism sectors have improved."
