PHNOM PENH, 27 September 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - Norway has contributed another six
million kroner ($1 million) to the international component of the
Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), boosting its
assistance to $5 million.
"As the ECCC faces an imminent funding shortfall, we sincerely thank the Government of Norway for its generous contribution," a tribunal statement said.
"This continuous support from Norway is essential to ensure that the ongoing court proceedings can continue without interruptions.”
The statement noted that Norway had been supporting the ECCC since it was set up in 2006.
