PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Cambodia's longstanding leader has
dismissed opposition threats to boycott next year's general election,
saying it would just open the way for other parties to run.
Prime Minister Hun Sen (pictured) spoke Tuesday in response to statements by the
Sam Rainsy Party and the Human Rights Party threatening to boycott the
polls if the leadership of the state election body is not changed. They
accuse the National Election Committee of unfairly favouring Hun Sen's
Cambodian People's Party.
Hun Sen has dominated Cambodian politics since becoming prime
minister in 1985 at age 33. His party won an overwhelming victory in the
2008 general election by winning 91 seats in the 123-seat lower house
of Parliament.
The next polls are scheduled for July 28, 2013.
Hun Sen said he read of the boycott threat in the newspapers.
"That's good. Other parties: please get ready," Hun Sen said in a
speech to graduating students. "The voters who don't vote for the
Cambodian People's Party will vote for those parties that join the
election."
Hun Sen said the opposition demand simply reflected their frustration at failing to win in past elections.
But Yim Sovann, a spokesman of Sam Rainsy Party, charged that the last election was neither free nor fair.
He said that 1.5 million would-be voters were unable to register
because of a technical problem that was the election board's fault.
He also accused it of failing to restrain the widespread use of state
resources — including government vehicles — by ruling party
campaigners, as well as vote buying.
"If things like this happen again and again, then the election result
next year will not be any different. So why would we need to join the
election?" Yim Sovann said.
Next July's polls will be the fifth parliamentary election since the
United Nations brokered a peace deal for the country in 1991, a process
meant to end decades of civil unrest that included the 1975-79 genocidal
rule of the Khmer Rouge.

Hun sen did whatever it takes to stay in office that including allowed illegal Yuon to vote for him.Yuon said on the tree messages I quote " Cpp regime so corrupted they sold everything to Yuon and Yuon controlled all Cambodian's economy " Laos was completely submission to Yuon from the top officials down to the economist body.Tops officials were all assimilated with Yuon's women,it take a little longer to assimilate all Cambodian's officials in the next decade or so....It go on to say that Khmer will Champa next.This the police lectured to students in Pang Sokhouen website,I didn't said these quotation above....
It is childish for the opposition(s) to keep threatening to boycott the election. It does no justice to those who support them. Instead of choosing the easy route, why not come up with other ways to beat the system. I`ve been a long time supporter of the oppositions but I can tell ya, I`m getting tired of their rhetoric's and childish mentality.
To the the new form party, change your mind set. We don`t need a party change with the same mind set. Start becoming smarter and wiser. You can beat the system if you become smarter.
How can they be smarter if the election is cheating by Cpp all the time and Cpp got all the advantage from air time propaganda coworkers on the pole boot where an election take place.
What is your solution to help them win if they were asking you for help? You and I knew that Hun sen will not give up the seat that easy,if Hun sen loses he'll staging coup again, if he wins, he wins by cheating.Hun sen is a crook everyone know that.....How can you beat a crooked pig like Hun sen?

Key word: Sacrifice.
If they truly want to win or forget that. If they want to free its people from this dictatorship. They have to sacrifice. Every revolution starts with sacrifice. Every time Hun Sen bark, they run. Its like a bully. Until you stand up to it and own the situation. The bully will never stop.
Only other option they have and that is money. Money motivate people.
hun Sen is so dumb, only cows on rice fields could bow to him, while munching grass.
So,your cow sure smarter than him(PM) because while it on your ricefield your cow don't munching your rice, instead its munching the grass! Huh!? No wonder your cow don't bow down to Hun sen... Sir you're training your cow real well.I'll give an A+for that....
