The ruling CPP has replaced governor of Prey Veng province and 6 district governor in the wake of a heavy loss in the last commune election. DAP News reported that Oung Samy, a stalwart of the Chea Sim-Sar Kheng faction, has been replaced by Hass Sareth, the governor of Kep province. Prey Veng province's Deputy Governor Phan Chanthoul was replaced by Oum Bunlong, chief of cabinet of Prey Veng Provincial Municipality. Six other district governors were also replaced. Ken Sotha, Deputy Kep Provincial Governor, has replaced Hass Sareth as governor of Kep.
Oung Samy has now become undersecretary of Ministry of Interior and Phan Chanthoul appointed advisor of Interior Ministry.

Changes for better leadership in each province..
This sounds like the Khmer Rouge purges of the 1970s. During the KR period, many Eastern zone cadres in Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Kampong Cham etc, were purged. Now, Hun Sen follow the KR footsteps and gets paranoid with the eastern zone people in Prey Veng.
We have to worry and we have to surprise.......! I live in Baphnom district and I see much development here through the district governor. People's livelihoods is improving faster. For example, we now have electricity, infrastructure such as rubber roads, schools dams for irrigation system...etc. I do not know about the development of other districts but only feel development in my current location. I strongly argue to his removal made by his superior.
