Sao Rany (pictured) appeared in court Tuesday over a complaint against the head of
Prince Norodom Ranariddh’s office for allegedly forging a letter.
Sao Rany told reporters after the hearing that he filed the complaint last month against Noranariddh Anondayath for forging the signature of the prince in a letter which ousted him and five deputies from the party.
The prince, who was out of the country at the the time, later asserted that the document was genuine.
In his capacity as party secretary general, Sao Rany had earlier signed an agreement to merge the Norodom Ranariddh Party with Funcinpec, the royalist party that the prince used to lead until 2006.
