It is sad to see these Khmer Surin can't speak Khmer probably. In another 30-40 years no one can speak Khmer. On the other hand, Khmer Krom speaks Khmer perfectly well, some are better than Khmer Kandal.
Please don't blame the Khmer Surin. About half of century, they did not have much right and access to our country Cambodia, because the Thai in Bangkok closed the border between the two countries most of the time. They had lost almost the connection with us Khmer in Cambodia. Contrary the Khmer Krom always have access to Cambodia, they served in the Cambodian Army, were member of the Cambodian government and also the border between Cambodia and Mekong Delta was and is always open.
