BANGKOK, July 6, 2012 (Bernama) -- Thai Cabinet, at its upcoming mobile meeting late this month, is expected to consider approving a state budget of some 25 million baht (RM2.5 million) for the development of the Chong Jom permanent border pass in Thailand's northeastern Surin province as a regional gateway, in preparation for the formation of the Asean Community (AC) by 2015.
Kittiphat Rungthanakiart, chief of Surin's Provincial Administrative
Organization, led a group of the provincial administrative body's
executives to visit the Chong Jom permanent border checkpoint on
Thursday.
Thai News Agency (TNA) reported that the group's visit was to discuss with local officials on the development plan, aimed at upgrading the border pass to become a national and regional gateway to the globally-renowned Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom ancient tourism sites in Cambodia.
Under the plan, the provincial
authority said the Chong Jom permanent border pass will be beautified
and improved to serve as a Thai-Cambodian regional-level economic,
trade, investment and tourism hub, with cooperation for its development
to be sought from neighbouring Cambodia as well.
The Thai Cabinet is scheduled to hold its next mobile meeting in Surin in late July.

Open this border Siam&Khmer, close Yuon &Khner's border indefinitely!!!! fuck Yuon!..
This is not a Siam & Khmer border. This border is like the former Berlin Wall or the former West Germany & East Germany border, that separated the German people for about 50 years.
This border was only set up by Thai people to separate Khmer from Khmer.
