ODDOR MEANCHEY, 27 July 2012 (Cambodia Herald) – Local residents say they have become
alarmed in recent weeks about rumors of women being killed and gutted
for their kidneys.
But Brigadier Men Ly, the Oddor Meanchey police commissioner, dismissed the rumors. Speaking Friday with the Cambodia Herald, an affiliate of Cambodia Express News (CEN), he said experts were investigating the case to find the source.
One theory is that thieves are spreading the rumors so they can steal things at night, since many people are now too afraid to sleep outside or under their houses.
Still, the rumors persist despite the absence of witnesses. Residents of Samrong district have been gossiping about the gutted bodies of two local women found with their kidneys removed and money left nearby.
Similar rumors have been heard in O'Smach on the Thai border while residents of Banteay Ampil are expressing concern about their safety.

Wow! If its true,its kind of scary,who will do such thing? Catch these evil-doers and put'em in the tiger's cage,so they can do this evil killing on any one else.All of these killing for organs if its true is because of GREEDS.

Killed those responsible for organ trade, if not true. Find out who's spread these rumores and instead sale their organs and use these money to help the poors and needies. Just my opinions.
In China their government killed criminals and political prisoners and sale their organs. Just rumores only. Would it be nice to be able to sale violence prisoners organs to help the public ! Lol
It's unethical according to the laws of physician in medical's school.wrong! It will open doors to thugs,like Hun Tho or Hun's clans to kills people for their organs to sell for profits.Thatwise, they outlaw of Cannibalism in our modern society.Imagine, if cannibalism is still allowed modern society,the weak,the poor will be foods for the rich and the well connected to Hun's clans. Do you think it right!?
