PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Many actors and actresses who fall in love and get married are now building family lives together.

Actor/singer Sapoun Midada and actress Soeur Sothera, for example, were married in 2009 and are now busy raising their 18-month-old daughter, Sapoun Dara Pimean.

"My daughter," Sapoun Midada says, "will be encouraged to do whatever she likes. It will depend on her nature."

Although she cannot yet talk, "whenever she sees her parents perform on stage, she starts to make 'uh-uh' sounds and moves her body as if she wants to sing and perform," he added.

“I'm sure she will join the entertainment industry because her parents are entertainers."

Actor Yuthara Chany also has a daughter, who is five years old, after 15 years of marriage with Chon Chan Leakena.

"I want my daughter to have a good education," he says. "If she wants to follow in our footsteps, I'll encourage her as it's her right."
